In her native Korea, Golumba received a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Arts and studied Fine Arts under a variety of Korean masters. For 8 years she worked as Art Coordinator at the city government Centre in Seoul before opening her own art school, which she operated for 9 years.

Since coming to Canada in 1997, Golumba has devoted most of her time to painting and maintains an interest in teaching .She operated The Golumba Art Gallery for 5 years and currently works from a studio gallery in her home in Halifax. In 2006 she was elected to the prestigious Canadian Society of Painters in Water Color (CSPWC). She captures the beauty of Nova Scotia in a unique style which combines the best of eastern and western painting traditions.
